CALL of Duty is a BACK with Black Ops 4 in a matter of days — and it’s going to need a huge patch on day one.
It won’t feature a single-player campaign, but it will feature the series’ traditional multiplayer modes, multiple Zombie modes and a Battle Royal mode called Blackout.
The next Call of Duty game is probably going to be released by Treyarch this year
Call of Duty 2018 release date – when is Black Ops 4 out?
The global launch is today (October 12, 2018) on Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Battle.net.
However, some shops in the UK let you pick-up your pre-orders on Thursday October 11.
Smyth’s Toys, for instance, are allowing anyone with a pre-order to collect their physical copies of the game from 6pm.

Some Game stores are also offering a similar service in lieu of a midnight launch.

How much space with the download take up?
You’ll need to free up at least 42.64GB on your Xbox One–and it’s reasonable to expect a similar sort of size on PS4 too.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (Standard Plus Edition), £49.99 – buy it now
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Pro Edition, £109.99 – buy it now
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Mystery Box, £179.99 – buy it now

Call of Duty Black Ops IV Multiplayer Live Stream – what was revealed?
Fan-favourite maps will be making a return. Jungle, Summit and Firing Range from Black Ops I have been rebuilt for Black Ops 4, as has Slums from Black Ops 2.
They will all be available at launch.
As expected, Nuketown will return. It is closest to the Cold War iteration from Black Ops I — but it will come out as free post-launch DLC, rather than being packaged with the game at launch.
A new mode called Control is objective-based, and will featured a shared pool of lives for players on the same team
Healing changes were the first focus of the live stream reveal. The focus on healing — via stim shots — is meant to extend combat for tactical players.
Healing it no longer automatic, and the manual healing process will take the player out of action for a short time.
This is meant to make a deeper and more complex combat experience.
Call of Duty 2018 Community Event – what was revealed?
The game will be set “between Black Ops II and Black Ops III” – so some time in the near future.
The debut multiplayer trailer showed off a mix of familiar-looking modern weapons and advanced technology, such as auto-building barricades, assault-rifle size flamethrowers and some brutal-looking melee weapons.
These weapons will feature a new modding system, and a whole new class of mod that will change the way weapons operate and reward players who invest time learning a particular weapon.

The weapon attachment system has been overhauled, with operator mods fundamentally altering the way weapons work
Health has been totally overhauled for Black Ops IIII, and recovery needs to be triggered manually
Black Ops 4 will also feature a couple of changes that will have a major impact on gameplay — fog of war and healing.
Healing will no longer be automatic – Black Ops 4 will require players to use a dedicated button to start the healing process, and render themselves vulnerable. There is also a medic class who will be able to heal other players and even boost their maximum health.

Will Call of Duty Black Ops 4 have a Fortnite-like Battle Royale Mode?
Yes. It will feature “the most iconic parts” of previous Black Ops maps, mashed up into one enormous map. The resulting frankenmap will be 100 times larger than a classic Black Ops multiplayer map.
80 players will go head-to-head in Blackout, initially, though is subject to change after the beta or launch.
The mode, called Blackout, will also feature playable characters and weapons from the series’ zombie modes, and draw from the series entire history to create a battle royale experience that is “uniquely Black Ops”.
There will be AI-controlled zombies, as well vehicles.
The vehicles revealed so far include a five-man truck and helicopter alongside and two-man ATV and Zodiac boat.
Call of Duty 2018 zombies – will there be a zombie mode in Black Ops 4?
Oh yes. They are an “essential part” of the Black Ops experience, according to Treyarch.
The developer says it’s gone back to the drawing board for Black Ops 4’s zombie mode, ten years after it first appeared in Call of Duty: World at War.
Zombies are back… and as terrifying as ever
The trailer shows the players making very short work of the undead in pleasingly visceral ways
All-new player characters will be facing off against a new enemy.
The Community Reveal trailer showed off the player characters as Roman gladiators facing off in a giant arena against a horde of zombies, and then watching a slave be transformed into a giant zombie. This forms the basis for the first map, called IX.
A second zombie map set on the Titanic called A Voyage of Despair is also promised.
Fan-favourite Mob Of the Dead is also set to return as Blood of the Dead, bringing the total to three zombie “experiences”promised for launch.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 multiplayer tips and tricks from which specialist to play to how to win control and heist

CALL of Duty: Black Ops 4 will have the chance to stake its claim as the biggest multiplayer game this year when it finally releases this weekend.
The Private Multiplayer Beta featured six maps, six modes, and all 10 Specialists but before you jump into Black Ops 4, here’s all you need to know about how to get the edge in competitive multiplayer.
There are several significant changes for Black Ops 4
The changes in Gameplay

The release of 2017’s Call of Duty: WWII was met with generally positive reviews with critics appreciating the franchise’s return to the ‘boots on the ground’ mantra.
Developers Treyarch is following in this vein with its multiplayer formula with Black Ops 4 100% boots on the ground bar Ruin’s special issue Grapple Gun.
Unlike Call of Duty games of the past, there will be no automatic health generation. Once activated, the health regeneration contains a brief cooldown period which you should bare in mind when under heavy fire.
Black Ops 4 also debuts a new min map system called Fog of War, which prevents the entirety of the map from being available and a players radius is limited to a certain distance around you.

Crash (Left) is more suitable for experienced players while Battery (Right) should embed the newbies
Which is the best specialist to choose?
Black Ops 3 featured specialists that each were equipped with their own unique arsenal that suit different playstyles. For the sequel, Treyarch has upped the ante.
Specialists are now a fundamental part of the gameplay, and players should work out whether they’re an aggressive player that confronts battles head-on, or a tactical support player.
For newer players, we recommend Battery, whose special issue equipment and weaponry is a cluster grenade and grenade launcher, which makes her an easy technical player to use.
On the other side, experienced players could find a lot of reward with a character like Crash, whose ammo packs and health boosts will be heavily involved in overall team success.
Control is a brand new game mode
Control
Although classics like Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed are available to sharpen skills, new game mode Control is being described as Call of Duty’s new signature mode.
Control will find two teams alternating between attacking and defending two static objectives, with each team winning rounds by controlling points on the map.
Teams can also gain the upper hand by draining the opposing team’s bank of 25 lives. The first team to win three rounds wins the game.
Dan Bunting, co-studio head at Treyarch, revealed to The Telegraph that the new mode is the best place to adapt to Black Ops 4’s new systems because “it’s the first mode that we built and we built a lot of the systems around Control.”
“It brings out the best of everything that we have designed in this game. It brings out the best in specialist roles. It brings out the best in teamwork.”
Heist is an all-new cash-based game mode
Heist
Heist is an all-new cash-based game mode that has been tasked with testing Call of Duty’s elite players, and it’s already proved a massive hit in the beta.
No respawning, no Create-a-Class, and nothing but a Pistol to start with, this is a round-based game mode in which players must find and collect a bag of cash, before extracting it via helicopter.
Teams of 5v5 will go head-to-head and each round the bag of cash will be randomly spawned and once extracted, players can spend the money on weapons and gear for the next round.
The natural instinct will be to spend the money but the mode is all about teamwork, if you stick together the easier it is to support each other and ensure that your loadouts compliment one another.

Best Loadouts
Developers all ensure as best as possible that no particular wepon outweighs another considering the competitive nature of the COD series.
However, YouTubers TheXclusiveAce and Ghosts619 have provided a number of Create-A-Class loadouts that are sure to be among the most efficient in Black Ops 4.

Submachine Gun: MX9, equipped with Tritium Sight Stock, Advanced Mags, and High Calibre.
Rifle: ABR 223, equipped with Tritium Sight Quickdraw, and Stock.
Assault Rifle: Rampart 17, equipped with Reflux High Calibre, and High Calibre II.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 release sees Fortnite players quitting and even SELLING their accounts

Category : Call of Duty , Fortnite , Gaming , Tech

VIDEO gamers throughout the world are getting ready to ditch Fortnite for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which is set to launch tomorrow.
Fans of Fortnite have even taken to social media to broadcast their plans, with many predicting the ‘death’ of the massively popular battle royale game.

Another multiplayer first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the long-awaited successor to 2015’s Black Ops III.
It will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC from midnight, and it will feature a battle royale mode that some gamers think will be enough for it to end Fortnite’s long summer of popularity.
“Dear Fortnite, It was fun while it lasted but Black Ops 4 drops midnight. Your time has came to an end,” said one gamer on Twitter.
And while Fortnite enjoyed over 100 million iPhone downloads alone at the peak of its popularity, even some die-hard fans of the game are preparing to dump it in favour of Black Ops 4.
Even hardcore Fortnite fans are gearing up for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Such comments come as Fortnite experiences a downturn in its rapid growth, with some analysts expecting the UK to reach ‘peak Fortnite’ by Christmas.
This scenario is possible, since sales of the game grew only by 2 per cent in July, having risen by 10 per cent in June and a whopping 30 percent in May.

And there has also been something of a backlash against the game in recent months from parents and non-gaming adults alike.
Distressed mothers have spoken out against their offsprings’ addictions to Fortnite, while even Prince Harry advised pupils not to play it during an October visit to Sussex.
Such warnings might not be enough on their own to persuade gamers to leave Fornite alone.
The excitement of gamers is turning away from Fortnite to Black Ops 4
However, it would seem from the hype for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 that they might turn away from it for other reasons, at least for now.
