EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Former Women's Champion Jazz Reveals Whether She Was Contacted To Compete At 'WWE Evolution'

Considered one of the most dominant women in pro wrestling history, former WWE Women’s Champion Jazz has spent the last 20 years creating a Hall of Fame resume. With roots tracing back to ECW, Jazz immediately made an impression in the WWE, as she became Women’s Champion by defeating Trish Stratus less than three months after her main roster debut.
Unfortunately, due to injuries and a lack of creative direction by WWE, she only competed for three years in the company. However, since 2004, Jazz has been dominating the independent scene, as well as the prestigious NWA promotion.

In an exclusive interview with The Floor Seat, Jazz revealed whether she was contacted by WWE to compete at the history-making Evolution pay-per-view.
“No, I have not had any contact with the WWE. I’m creating my own Evolution.”
In September of 2016, Jazz captured the NWA World Women’s Championship, and has retained it ever since.
Just recently, Jazz retained the title by defeating Penelope Ford at the NWA 70th Anniversary event. I asked Jazz on her thoughts of the event, and she shared her appreciation of what took place.
“It was another epic moment in my career,” said Jazz. “To be apart of a company that inspired me to be a wrestler. Growing up watching some of the most incredible wrestlers as a kid and watching how they carried themselves and represented the NWA. I’m proud to be the NWA Women’s Champion and I carry this title with pride and honor.”
When asked what legend Jazz would like to defend the title against, she gave quite the interesting answer.
“Right now I’m focusing on my own legacy. So the question is ‘what legend would like to have shot at the NWA Championship against Jazz!’”
Although it has been nearly 15 years since she has been a full-time competitor for WWE, her presence is still felt, even with her absence from the Evolution pay-per-view.

Major Segment Revealed For Triple H And Shawn Michaels On 'WWE Raw' Tonight

The finale of WWE Super Show-Down this past Saturday saw The Brothers of Destruction, The Undertaker and Kane, lay waste to Triple H and Shawn Michaels after the four legends celebrated in the ring following the main event bout between The Game and The Dead Man.
Photo: WWE
WWE.com has since announced both Triple H and Shawn Michaels will be appearing on Raw tonight to address the Super Show-Down post-match attack, and the announcement reads as follows:
One last time. At WWE Super Show-Down, Triple H conquered The Undertaker in their No Disqualification Match that shattered a table, bent steel and pushed both longtime rivals to their limits.
With both Shawn Michaels and Kane entering the battle and taking full advantage of the lenient stipulation, the WWE Universe bore witness as four of the most iconic Superstars of all time made history Down Under in an incredible main event. However, as Triple H showed his respect for his defeated opponent after the bell, both The Deadman and The Big Red Machine lashed out at The Game and HBK in a horrific display.
Tonight on Raw, The Game and HBK will react to the heinous assault at the hands of The Brothers of Destruction.
In other Raw news, WWE has announced that Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be appearing on the show tonight to hype her upcoming match against Alexa Bliss at WWE Evolution.

According to WWE.com, tonight’s WWE Raw will also feature fallout from the Super Show-Down event, with updates on John Cena and Bobby Lashley following their win over Kevin Owens and Elias, and the latest on The Shield after their big win over Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

Steve Austin And More WWE Stars Comment On Shocking Conor McGregor UFC 229 Loss And Chaotic Aftermath

Tonight’s UFC 229 main event featuring Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov appeared to take a page right from the WWE playbook, as the fight had two shocking endings.
The betting underdog in the bout, but popular fan pick, Conor McGregor, lost the fight via submission via a rear-naked choke at 3:03 of round four, but the action did not stop there as a brawl broke out in the cage following the fight when Zubaira Tukhugov hopped the cage and began to assault Conor McGregor. The mayhem did not stop there, however, as Nurmagomedov also jumped the cage and attacked McGregor’s camp.

Per MMAFighting.com, Nurmagomedov won the first two rounds of the fight before Conor McGregor won the third round by a score of 10-9. The bout and its subsequent aftermath has drawn the ire of MMA fans, as the ensuing chaos following the fight was viewed by most as completely unprofessional and a poor look for both Mixed Martial Arts and UFC.
Professional wrestling fans, on the other hand, seemed to eat up every bit of what is being labeled as “sports entertainment” in a UFC Octagon, with fans going so far as to say the fight was a work, and potentially “booked” in a way similar to a pro wrestling match.
It did not take long for the stars of the wrestling world to react to the fight and the post-match pandemonium, as several names including former WWE star Ted DiBiase, Jr, along with WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and Steve Austin, as well as current Raw GM Baron Corbin all took to Twitter to react to the fight.

I love Professional Wrestling.

— Booker T. Huffman (@BookerT5x) October 7, 2018

Heading into tonight’s fight, Khabib Nurmagomedov was 26-0 in UFC, and keeps his undefeated streak alive with his dismantling of Conor McGregor. “The Notorious” McGregor was 9-1 in his career in UFC main events, and as a result of tonight’s loss drops to 9-2 in headlining fights.
The repercussions of tonight’s post-fight brawl have yet to be revealed, but it’s almost certain UFC fans will have more to look forward to in the storied Nurmagomedov and McGregor rivalry.
