Valencia ‘in talks with West Ham’ over Chicharito loan – but deal hinges on Chelsea

VALENCIA are reportedly ‘in talks with West Ham’ over a loan move for Javier Hernandez.
But any deal will depend on Premier League rivals Chelsea – with the Spanish club needing to get rid of loanee Michy Batshuayi.

Spanish paper Super Deporte claim that Valencia are desperate to add a striker, with Los Che struggling for goals all season.
Marcelino’s side have scored just 15 goals in 17 La Liga matches this season, the joint-fewest along with bottom club Huesca.
Chicharito, 30, is reported to be Valencia’s first-choice as they are looking for a cut-price option and the paper claims the striker is keen on the move.
However, it’s not clear whether West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini would give up the Mexican who has been brilliant in recent weeks.

Hernandez has four Premier League goals this season, with three of those coming in four December wins.
West Ham paid £17million and it is not clear they would be willing to send Hernandez on the 18-month deal that Valencia claim to be seeking.
Spanish Radio 977 report that Valencia wanted Hernandez in the summer before moving for Batshuayi.
Another caveat to the move is that the Spanish side cannot cover the wages of both Hernandez and Batshuayi.

They must get rid of Batshuayi first – he has struggled in Spain after impressing in Germany last season.
The Belgian managed seven goals in ten matches for Borussia Dortmund on loan at the end of last season, but has netted just once in 12 matches for Valencia.
Crystal Palace have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Batshuayi on loan.
The 25-year-old has also been linked with Roma and Celtic.
