DETECTIVES searched bins behind a butcher’s shop for dismembered Julie Reilly’s remains.
Officers swooped after some of the gran’s severed limbs were found on nearby wasteground.
Julie was murdered by Wallace last year
One worker at Sandy Smith butcher’s in Drumoyne, Glasgow, said: “Containers, outbuildings, wheelie bins and waste bins were all checked, but unfortunately there was nothing. There was police everywhere. We were well searched. They combed this place.”
It’s thought a forensic examination of the refuse area found no trace of Julie’s DNA last April.
Andrew Wallace, 42, trained as a butcher elsewhere in Glasgow before killing first victim Caroline Packer, 51, then Julie, 47.

He admitted killing Julie and chopping up her body before disposing of it around the city last February.

Julie’s sister Lynne Bryce, 37, said they were desperate to say a proper farewell to the mum of three, whose remains were buried beside her six-month-old daughter Roxanne.
Wallace’s ex revealed how she suffered a decade of hell at the hands of the depraved killer.
Brave Mhairi Wallace, 46, told how Wallace threatened her with a knife, repeatedly attacked her and told her he’d kill her.
