What is Eleanor’s history with Louis Tomlinson?
Louis and Eleanor were long-term boyfriend and girlfriend at the start of Louis’ career.
The pair got together in September 2011 and were inseparable as they were spotted enjoying a series of dates and she was frequently seen at his concerts.
However, when she started university, she remained in England to study while he continued to tour.
They stayed together until March 2015, when they announced their split.
Louis and Eleanor dated for nearly four yearsGetty Images
The root cause of their split is not officially known, but it was reported at the time that Louis’ hectic schedule with One Direction played a role in the romance not working.
The Sun revealed that despite deleting her off his social media in 2015, the pair had reconnected and were back in touch in January 2017 following the death of his mother Johannah.
They hooked up again in Los Angeles. Londoner Eleanor even skipped a high-profile fashion event — the original reason she was in LA — to be with her on/off love.
What happened after Eleanor and Louis split?
Just a few months after they announced they had split Louis’ new girlfriend Briana Jungwirth was revealed to be pregnant.
The pair remain amicable for their son despite not remaining together, and Briana and Freddie now live in Los Angeles.
Earlier this year it was announced that Louis had split with his year-long girlfriend, actress Danielle Campbell.
The separation came just a few weeks after Louis lost his mum to cancer.

At the time of their split, a source told The Sun’s Bizarre Column: “Louis and Danielle have made the decision to split up but they are still going to be mates.
“They’re still talking to each other and there is no bad feeling whatsoever.
“It’s really sad because Danielle has been there for Louis through this horrible time.
“She has stood by him, remained loyal and continued to be a great support, which is exactly what he needs.
“Sometimes these things just don’t work out and for Louis and Danielle this was the best way forward.”

What happened at the airport with Louis and Eleanor in March 2017?
A shocking twist to Eleanor and Louis’ rekindled romance happened in March 2017, a month after they’d got back together.
The One Direction singer was arrested following an incident with a photographer as the couple were making their way through arrivals at LAX airport.
The incident unfolded when Louis got into a row with a snapper who wanted to take their picture and Eleanor tried to stop a female fan from filming the ensuing brawl.
The young woman, who sported a cut over her eye, reportedly said she would be pressing charges and has since told TMZ.com: “When he punched me, I was actually wearing glasses – so he broke my glasses. I never did anything to him.”
Eleanor was pictured back at LAX without Louis a few days after the incident and covered her face with a baseball cap as she made her way through the airport.
Louis was set to find out if he faces charges over the altercation with the case being heard at LAX courthouse in March but the hearing was delayed until the end of April.
But The Sun exclusively revealed the One Direction star would not be charged by police over the airport brawl.

The Beatles’ iconic White Album has been re-released with 77 extra tracks to offer fans insight into iconic band

SOME would have us believe it’s the sound of the world’s biggest band breaking apart.
It took the form of a sprawling double album, four sides of vinyl offering 30 tracks spanning 93 minutes and 35 seconds.
Paul McCartney has said after sitting down with Giles Martin that the White Album ‘sounds really modern’
Released in 1968, it came housed in a mysterious plain white gatefold sleeve and had two small words embossed on the front cover . . . The Beatles.
The minimal design was in stark contrast to Peter Blake’s riotously colourful celebrity collage for previous release, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
We know and love it as The White Album, an aural rollercoaster complete with Back In The USSR, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, Dear Prudence, Helter Skelter and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Many of the songs were written in India when The Beatles attended a transcendental meditation course in Rishikesh with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi . . . or Sexy Sadie as John Lennon mischievously called him later after Mia Farrow raised some #MeToo-style suspicions.
John Lennon and Paul McCartney still had a strong bond on the album
The band wanted Ringo Starr to sing one song on every album even if it was against his wishes
Despite their spiritual quest to the subcontinent, various accounts of the ensuing sessions at Abbey Road involve Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr pulling in different directions, often disappearing into separate studios to do their own thing.
To add to the tense atmosphere, say the reports, wives and girlfriends were allowed into the studio for the first time, including Lennon’s new obsession Yoko Ono.
Even Lennon himself remarked years later that “the break-up of The Beatles can be heard on that album.”
Now, 50 years on, another very different White Album story is emerging, one of surprising unity, joyful creativity and playful humour.

‘Bond between John and Paul still existed’

Giles Martin

The anniversary is being marked by a range of reissues including an astonishing seven-disc edition containing the original album, the acoustic Esher demos and numerous out-takes with studio banter.
It means The Beatles’ most expansive and experimental album just got a whole lot bigger, 30 tracks becoming a mind- boggling 107.
Masterminding the project is Giles Martin, son of “Fifth Beatle” producer Sir George, and it continues his labour of love on the band’s back catalogue.
After one unsatisfactory attempt, his second set of remixes of the original tracks capture the explosive chemistry of the performers while revealing new depths and subtleties.
I’m meeting Giles at (where else?) Abbey Road in his office/production suite tucked away in the back of the building past the iconic Studio 2.
Giles Martin is the man behind the re-release ‘The White Album’ on which he’s added and extra 77 tracksAlex Lake

Paul McCartney wrote and recorded ‘Hey Jude’ at The White Album sessions
I pull up a chair next to the large mixing desk and feel honoured when he says: “The last person to sit right there with me was Paul McCartney. “We listened to The White Album mix and Paul said, ‘I never realised how modern this record sounds. This could be a band today.’”
Next, Giles addresses those “break-up album” accounts and says: “After hearing the tapes and out-takes, I just don’t get it.
“I looked for fractiousness and I couldn’t find it. That bond between John and Paul still existed. It doesn’t sound like an unhappy time.”
He backs up his argument with revealing anecdotes: “When I went through The White Album with Paul recently, he really wanted to hear the song Julia again. I always thought it was just a John song but now I think Paul was kind of producing it.
John Lennon brought Yoko into the recordings but she wasn’t as big an influence as people think
Mr Martin has said that this project was like ‘falling through a hole to 1968’
“And while Paul was writing Hey Jude (recorded at the sessions), there was talk of dropping the line that eventually became ‘don’t carry the world upon your shoulders’ but John said to Paul, ‘That’s your best lyric,’ and of course it stayed.”
During long and testing sessions for Happiness Is A Warm Gun, there was another telling moment.
Giles says: “You hear John going, ‘It’s not getting any more fun but it’s getting easier,’ and George replying, ‘It’s more fun and easier!’”
He adds: “There’s a richness and a visceral quality to The White Album and the reason is because it’s THEIR album.

‘It was a bit like falling through a hole to 1968’

Giles Martin

“Even though Ringo left for a while during the recording process, I get from talking to him that it’s his favourite Beatles record because, he says, ‘It’s when we were a real band.’
“Don’t forget they always wanted Ringo to sing a song on an album, sometimes against his wishes.
“John wrote Good Night for him. On the demos, you can hear them propping him up. This isn’t a band in free fall.”
Giles, it’s safe to say, was overwhelmed by the huge quantity of leftover White Album recordings in The Beatles’ vaults.
George Harrison was described by Giles’ father as the ‘carpet weaver’
“This is way, way bigger than our Sgt. Pepper’s project,” he says. “It was a bit like falling through a hole to 1968. You stay there for a bit but you have to resurface before you go mad.”
To give you an idea of the sheer volume, Giles and his Beatles expert colleagues chose “take 102” of a George Harrison jam called Not Guilty.
“It’s a bit like being a detective inspector,” he admits. “I’m a slave to quality, trained under the Martin wing.
“For me, it’s difficult not to edit things, like the 14-minute version of Helter Skelter or the long version of Revolution No1.

“But I know there’s a bunch of fans who don’t want me to do that. For the sake of, say, four minutes, you might as well put the whole thing out.”
Of all the people in the fickle music business, Giles has got to be one of the nicest. The decency so evident in his father has clearly been passed on.
The responsibility of being entrusted with the most precious legacy in pop history is not lost on him. “There’s some guilt attached to being George Martin’s son,” he says. “It’s not as if I had to work my way up.” As Beatles producer from their first single Love Me Do, schoolmasterly Sir George had kept his charges on a relatively tight and focused rein.
He’d helped fashion Sgt. Pepper’s into a grandiose, orchestrated and coherent masterpiece.
‘The Beatles ‘revelled’ in their ‘musical playground’ during the recording of The White Album
The follow-up proved much more problematic, as Giles explains: “In his later years as he grew deaf, I was his ears and I would spend a lot of time with him doing interviews.
“Despite him not necessarily wanting it, we’d always get on to The Beatles. Then he might ask someone, ‘What’s your favourite album?’
“People would often answer, ‘The White Album’, especially in America, and he’d grimace. They’d be offended that George Martin was grimacing at their choice of album.
“With Sgt. Pepper’s, he finally had the band in a place where he could work with them and develop what he thought was a work of art.
George Martin had less control over this album and grimaces when people say it’s their favourite album
“The Beatles revelled in this musical playground but by the time The White Album came along, he’d completely lost the classroom. It was their playground but they didn’t want the teachers to be there.
“My father was upset because he’d had such influence and suddenly they didn’t want it.”
And what of the perceived disruption caused by the presence of Lennon’s partner Yoko Ono?
Again Giles believes it wasn’t as big a deal as people think. He uses the recordings of Revolution 1 and Revolution 9 as an example.

Having Eric Clapton there was quite a good thing

“You hear Yoko saying, ‘You see me naked’ followed by, ‘Was that OK or was I going little bit too far?’
“Then John answers, ‘No, it’s great, it’s great!’ and they’re laughing with another Beatles.’”
Another intriguing aspect of The White Album was the growing stature of George Harrison as a songwriter.
He’d written a truly great song, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, but to get it past the dominant Lennon and McCartney axis, he introduced a certain guitar maestro to the studio . . . Eric Clapton.
Ringo and George had a strong bond but ‘less power’ than John and Paul
Giles explains The Beatles dynamic at the time: “John and Paul were still as thick as thieves, so too were George and Ringo but with less power.
“John and Paul had taken over much of my dad’s authority and had become more influential. In order for George to get heard and be respected, having Eric Clapton there was quite a good thing. In 1968, no one was going to disagree with Eric as a guitar player.
“My dad always used to say George was like a carpet weaver . . . the rest would go on to something else and he’d still be meticulously threading.
“While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of the key songs on The White Album. By the time Something and Here Comes The Sun appeared on Abbey Road, the weight of George had become huge.”
‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ is a masterpiece written by George Harrison which features Eric Clapton
It has to be said that Savoy Truffle, a song about the redemptive qualities of sickly food and drink, is one of Harrison’s more throwaway compositions.
“Creme tangerine and montelimar? A ginger sling with a pineapple heart,” it begins.
Giles repeats a story told him by recording engineer Ken Scott: “George was working on away from the other Beatles on Savoy Truffle and he and Ken were mixing it.
“My dad came in to the studio and said, ‘It’s a bit bright, George’ and George said, ‘Yes I know and I like it!’”
Giles Martin has said that ‘the demos made the whole thing worthwhile’Alex Lake
The story of the new expanded version of The White Album wouldn’t be complete without mention of the gorgeous and revealing Esher demos, named after the Surrey town where Harrison was living in a sprawling modern bungalow called Kinfauns.
The unadorned, intimate recordings are pure gold for Beatles fans. They include a lovely Harrison song, Circles, which finally saw light of day on his 1982 album Gone Troppo. There’s the Lennon track Child Of Nature with its slightly cringe lyrics which one day morphed into his great solo effort Jealous Guy, retaining the same memorable melody.
The ditties Mean Mr Mustard and Polythene Pam eventually wound up on the medley of short songs on side two of Abbey Road.
Giles says: “These tapes were at Friar Park (Harrison’s home) so I phoned George’s wife Olivia.

News Scotland and Wireless launched the new DAB and online music radio stations on New Year’s Day, broadcasting in central Scotland under The Scottish Sun brand.
Today’s figures show growth across all three stations, each of which are targeted at a different audience demographic, and outperforms a total radio market reach which remains flat quarter on quarter.
All radio listening hours have grown by four per cent in areas that transmit either Scottish Sun Hits, Scottish Sun 80s, or Scottish Sun Greatest Hits.

The Scottish Sun stations will continue to go from strength to strength, bringing listeners music and interviews from the biggest names in music.
For example, the Flashback 40 show hosted by David “Kid” Jensen was launched on Greatest Hits in August, featuring classic charts from years gone by, while some of the hottest names in music, including James Arthur, Little Mix, Olly Murs, Rak-Su and Sigrid have joined Elliot Holman on the Total Access show on Scottish Sun Hits.
Welcoming the figures, Richard Bogie, Managing Director of News Scotland, said: “We are delighted with these figures, which show that we have built on the early success we enjoyed in the first half of the year, and this gives us momentum as we press ahead with exciting plans for its future.

Scottish P!nk fans fuming after failing to get tickets for Glasgow gig at Hampden as Ticketmaster site locks them out

Category : Music , Music tours , TV & Showbiz

P!NK fans have been left furious after missing out on tickets for the singer’s Glasgow show when they failed to get through on Ticketmaster’s website.
Briefs were made available this morning for the What About Us superstar’s highly-anticipated gig at Hampden Park next June.

Frustrated fans were met with error messages when trying to buy tickets
The singer announced a second Glasgow date at the weekend after “phenomenal” demand for her Beautiful Trauma tour.
But many punters were met with error messages when they logged on and were left wondering why they were locked out.
Ticketmaster say there were no issues with the site other than it being flooded with expectant fans.
And gutted fans took to social media to express their dismay at failing to get their hands on gold-dust tickets.
Tierna Kehoe posted an error message and said: “@TicketmasterCS Why won’t your website work for Pink Tickets? Doing this since before 9 this morning it’s coming up for Dublin and Glasgow.”
Colin Daniels said: “@TicketmasterUk shambles. Pink tickets for Glasgow gone in two minutes yet again real fans left out.”
Tickets are already being flogged on official resale site Stub Hub for £340
While greedy re-sellers are asking for £417 on ViaGoGo
A Twitter user named Shannon said: “Been trying to book three tickets to see Pink at Glasgow since 10 from Ticketmaster. The absolute joke of it kept saying sorry something went wrong with your tickets. Now I can’t get them anymore. F****** disgrace of a website.”
Celia Castresana said: “Can’t buy tickets for Pink concert in Glasgow. What is going on? It gives error every time and I don’t want to miss this opportunity.”

P!nk announces SECOND Glasgow 2019 date at Hampden Park for Beautiful Trauma tour – with tickets on sale next week

And another user named Kirsten added: “Got through to pay for Pink tickets at Glasgow three times and then an ‘error occurred’. Ticketmaster are a f****** joke.”
After tickets run out on Ticketmaster, scores have been made available on resell sites at more than four times the face value.
Official reseller StubHub have them up on their site at £340, but Viagogo are flogging them for £417.

And punters who missed out were further enraged at seeing tickets available at such a mark-up.
Natalee Gray said: “Hope Pink follows Ed Sheeran and makes everyone show proof of purchase and ID when they go through Hampden gates. Disgusting that tickets worth £90 are now on Stub Hub for £345 each. Fans outraged.”

A spokeswoman for Ticketmaster UK said: “As one of the most popular artists in the world, the demand for P!nk tickets was always going to be huge. That was certainly the case this morning.
“There are lots of happy fans out there but, unfortunately, there will always be some who miss out when events are this popular. We always recommend keeping an eye on our social media channels in case we get any extra tickets.”
A spokesperson for Viagogo said: “Viagogo is a marketplace and doesn’t buy or sell tickets. Viagogo provides a platform for third party sellers to sell tickets to event goers.
“Viagogo does not set ticket prices, sellers set their own prices, which may be above or below the original face value.
“All tickets sold on viagogo’s platform are genuine tickets that have been sold on by the original ticket purchaser in good faith.”

Tina Turner reveals how she planned for assisted suicide after cancer diagnosis but was saved by her husband’s kidney

TINA TURNER has revealed she was so ill she considered assisted suicide — until her husband saved her life by donating his kidney.
The soul icon fell in love with music producer Erwin Bach, 16 years her junior, in 1985 after suffering years of ill-treatment at the hands of ex-lover Ike.
Tina Turner reveals how she found happiness in her new auto-biography My Love StoryGetty – Contributor
Tying the knot 28 years later, the singer says their 2013 wedding was one of the happiest days of her life.
But, in her new autobiography — My Love Story, out later this month — Tina, 78, revealed how she started feeling faint during that day as the party gathered for photos.
It was the first sign of an impending stroke.
Just three months later, she woke up and felt a lightning bolt in her head and right leg.
Tina was married to Ike Turner, suffering domestic abuse and reveals she was beaten on the head by a wooden spoon1964 GAB Archive
Tina said: “I tried to speak but I couldn’t get any words out.
I was having a stroke.”
It left Tina unable to walk or use her right arm.
And, to add to her troubles, doctors also found she had high blood pressure which left her kidneys working at just 35 per cent of their normal function.
Yet Tina now admits she “foolishly” scuppered her treatment by ditching her medication and instead turned to homeopathy — a decision which almost cost her her life.
Her homeopath had claimed toxins in the water near her Château Algonquin home in Switzerland were damaging her body, so she set about replacing the water pipes and having the water purified by crystals.

‘I was overwhelmed by the enormity of his offer’

But the blunder sapped her strength, leaving her unable to walk from room-to-room.
Another shock diagnosis, early stage intestinal cancer, led to part of her intestine being removed.
By 2016, Tina’s kidney function was down to 20 per cent, leaving her unable to eat.
Tina admits at one point she thought of assisted suicide — legal in Switzerland — and signed up to be a member of Exit, “just in case”.

She said: “I think that’s when the idea of my death became a reality for Erwin.
He was very emotional about not wanting to lose me, not wanting me to leave.
“He said he didn’t want another woman, or another life; we were happy and he’d do anything to keep us together.
Then he shocked me.

Tina, who has notched up 200million in record sales, is no stranger to struggle.
Hers has been an extraordinary journey, from being an unwanted child picking cotton in the tiny segregated backwater of Nutbush, Tennessee, to years of being too afraid to leave her abusive first husband Ike.

She once said: “My struggle started inside my mother’s womb.
I suffered all the way from childhood right up until the end of Ike.
“What kept me on course was me, it was something I was born with.”
In July this year, that strength was tested again.

Eight days later, Tina posted a picture of herself scattering her boy’s ashes off the coast of California, accompanied by the words: “My saddest moment as a mother.”
Tina, who was born Anna Mae Bullock, was just 18 years old when she gave birth to Craig in 1958.
She was determined to be a good mother, having been deserted by her own mum Zelma at ten.
Her father left three years later.
