He said previously of his plans: “My granddad fought in Vietnam and got based over in Warrington, England, met my nan, who was a Scouser, shipped them over to Brooklyn, because his family are from Brooklyn.
“When he was going round the airbases my mum was born in Oregon and my mum was born in Mississippi.

“I’ve no desire to be a huge superstar, I just want to act.”

A source said: “Shona’s become one of the street’s most beloved characters and Julia’s one of the show’s biggest talents so it was a no brainer to keep her.”
The actress joined the show in 2016 as a runaway fleeing evil abuser Nathan Curtis who later targeted Bethany Platt. She was also revealed as the mother of Kylie Platt’s killer Clayton Hibbs.
As well as Julia, three other members of the Platt family have landed deals with Julia’s on-screen partner Jack P. Shepherd signing a bumper new pay deal and Lucy Fallon and Tina O’Brien being offered new deals.

Big Brother’s Lewis Flanagan was kicked off the show for doing an impression of Hitler and saying ‘kill the Jews’

Lewis, from Middlesbrough, was one of this series’ most popular contestants and was tipped to win the £100,000 prize.
However he was booted out for making the shocking comments and told The Sun Online he wanted to set the record straight.
Speaking from his home, Lewis said: “I was talking to Cameron about getting him some outfits and I said the word ‘Auschwitz’ instead of outfits by mistake.
“It was a slip of the tongue and and then I tried to mock Hitler and did an impression of him saying ‘Kill the Jews’.
The 27-year-old has denied he is anti-Semitic and said it was a slip of the tongue
“It was an impression not a statement of my beliefs at all – and has come out completely wrong and I’m devastated.
“I am not anti-Semitic, I am agnostic. I love all people.
“It was a misguided comment that came out wrong.”
After he made the comments, Lewis went immediately to the diary room.
Lewis was removed from the Big Brother house immediately after he made the comment
He added: “After I said it, I realised I shouldn’t have because it could be seen as offensive.
“I’m not ashamed as it really was just meant to be an impression of Hitler and it has cost me. I lost out on the best part of my experience.
“I apologise wholeheartedly and want to move on with my life. I’m trying my best to be a good man.
“I went in to Big Brother to be myself and part of that is I’m not perfect – I’m far from it and I made a mistake and that’s all it was and all I can do now is apologise.”
Channel 5 The bar tender said he is horrified at the thought of causing offence and said he wanted to apologise wholeheartedly for his comments[/caption]
The scenes which showed Lewis making the comments will never be aired by Channel 5.
Lewis said he respected their decision to do this and commended how they had treated the situation.
He added: “I know why I had to leave and I understand why.
“I am just devastated that one stupid mistake, one stupid slip of the tongue could lead to everything I did in the house, and everything I feel achieved, being ruined.

Channel 5 Lewis, here with Cameron, who he made the comments to while inside the house[/caption]
“If I have offended anyone, I want them to know I am truly sorry as that was never my intention. I am a good person and I would never want to cause harm to anyone.
“I think you can see from the reaction of the others in the house, I meant no harm by what I said. It was an impression and it was stupid and idiotic.
“But it was honestly a slip of the tongue. I meant no harm.”
Since leaving the house, Lewis has returned home and is being supported by his family and friends.

Hollyoaks’ Bob Cryer reveals Liam Donovan will take revenge on the WAGs after they murdered gangster dad Glenn

GLENN Donovan’s murder is going to kick off a huge whodunit storyline for the soap with “huge” repercussions.
Actor Bob Cryer – who played the serial killing gangster in the Channel 4 soap – has revealed that while Glenn is definitely dead after the WAGs poisoned him, he may yet still get revenge from beyond the grave.
Getty – Contributor Actor Bob Cryer has revealed Glenn’s death will have a huge fallout for his son[/caption]
Viewers watched last night’s first look episode as the WAGs finally took action and all poisoned Glenn at his own birthday party but with Hollyoaks seeing a host of dead characters return, the actor has insisted Glenn is gone.
“There’s going to be a huge fallout,” he said in an exclusive interview with The Sun Online.
“That’s the risk they’re taking for wrongful arrest and conviction and they’ve all put themselves in that position. It’s very possible that one of them could take the rap for someone else.”
Fans saw Grace, Simone, Courtney, Maxine and Kim all pour a vial into Glenn’s pint, with the poison in one of them, during his birthday party, and they thought they had got away with it, until the closing moments of the episode when Liam noticed one of the vials near his dad’s body.
Glenn downed the poisoned pint without even realising it
The gangster finally pushed his victims too far and they retaliated by killing him
But even Bob doesn’t know who ultimately killed Glenn and who Liam will be gunning for revenge against.
He said: “Even I don’t know, there is a poisoned pint and they all have motive and they all have opportunity.”
And Bob hinted that it could even have been someone else, saying: “He’s pretty much pissed off everyone in the village.”
He added that he would love for it to have been ultimately Grace to have done the deed, saying: “Grace because I’ve got such love and respect for Tamara. It would be the perfect way to cap her comeback, short of being in black bike leathers flipping the bird to Glenn.”
He collapsed outside as his sons watched on helpless
The Women Against Glenn watched on as he took his final breath
The WAGs are finally free but Bob revealed there is a huge fallout after their crime
And he felt very strongly about Glenn dying as a coward rather than in an explosive event like next week’s storm week.
He added: “There’s the storm coming up and there was talk at one point of Glenn being part of that but it was always my view that that would be far too heroic and romantic a way to go.
“And actually what a b****** like Glenn deserves is to go in a very offbeat way by having his pint poisoned. And what a token male symbol and he had to down it in one too. It’s reflective of Glenn too – he thinks he’s in control.
“It was only a matter of time and that clock was really ticking from the moment he arrived in the village.
“The fact he’d already spoken to Grace about fleeing to Spain and he’d made up his mind that he wanted to go. Being who he is he wanted it to be on his terms and that’s the great moment that at the last moment it’s not his decision at all and he goes in a very un-heroic way. It’s a fitting end to him, for me anyway.”
But with Liam discovering one of the vials and beginning to suspect Kim, he will seek revenge for his father, but may discover more than he bargained for in the process.
At the end of the episode Liam realised his father had been murdered
He discovered the missing vial in a plant pot and remembered Kim’s actions
Bob added: “It’s so brilliant for his first instance that he’s killed someone before stepping foot in the village.
“He’s definitely a chip off the old block and that’s what Glenn wanted with Adam. He’ll be taking over the family business before the funeral has even started.”
But Bob also teased that Liam would eventually discover the truth about his evil father because the “truth always comes out.”
And filming intensively on a soap hasn’t put Bob off appearing in another one.
He said: “I’ve only got Emmerdale and Casualty to go to collect the full set but I’d have to have a long conversation with my family before I agreed to anything.”
But before he can even think of going into one of the other shows, he will be recording a two-part adaptation of a book he co-wrote with his father, comedy writer Barry Cryer.
