Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side displayed the same confidence which has defined the Norwegian’s interim spell in charge.
Neville said while on co-commentary on Sky Sports: “He (Rashford) is the one now. He is their number one.
He added: “Both teams are looking really bright going forward, though.
“Manchester United look like the Manchester United of five or 10 years ago.”

Former England international Neville made over 600 appearances during 19 seasons at United, where he scooped 20 major honours.
Despite his strong allegiance to United, the 43-year-old is regarded as one of the best pundits around.
But fans have taken exception to the tone of his remarks during the Premier League clash on Sunday, with Neville seemingly unable to contain himself.
Unhappy Spurs fan Daniel Triplett wrote on Twitter: “It’s getting to the point where I’m muting my TV when Gary Neville is on commentary, unbelievable amount of bias.”

Stewart Mason added on the ex-Valencia coach: “Why doesn’t Gary Neville give his unwanted biased opinion to the Spanish league that he failed at so miserably.”
Stephen Beere questioned whether Sky’s marquee name should even be working on the fixture.
He said: “I am a big fan of Gary Neville but should he really be doing co-commentary on a Man Utd game?
“A couple of biased comments already and we are only 15 mins in.”

The broadcasting behemoth have a host of former players to call on to assist their coverage of matches, with former Arsenal striker Alan Smith and ex-Everton man Andy Hinchcliffe among their roster of match summarisers.
Darren Caprenter lamented the decision to select Neville for the game, despite his status as the No.1 pundit.
