Pacers fans taunt JaVale McGee, Brandon Ingram with funny chant during game (Video)

Category : Lakers , NBA , pacers , Trending Now

The Pacers absolutely destroyed the Lakers on Tuesday night, clearly sending a message to the team that has been doing its best to pull off a power move for Pelicans big man Anthony Davis, spearheaded by LeBron James and superagent Rich Paul.
James only played 30 minutes in the game, as he and his teammates found themselves down 23 points at halftime. It was a blowout no matter how you slice it, and there was plenty of trolling by Pacers fans at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
At one point, just minutes into the game, fans began chanting “LeBron’s gonna trade you” at Brandon Ingram, when he was at the line to attempt a pair of free throws.

JaVale McGee got similar treatment, except it was the opposite message.
“Not worth trading!” they yelled

…Pacers fans were ruthless tonight.

Giannis Antetokounmpo drills James Harden with ball (Video)

Category : NBA , Rockets , Trending Now

One of the strongest players in the NBA beaned one of the best offensive players in league history during Wednesday’s Bucks-Rockets game, and you can watch it happen, in case you missed it.
It happened in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game, and happened to be completely inadvertent. Regardless, Giannis Antetokounmpo was backing a defender down, when he tried to sling a no-look pass all the way to the corner.
Unfortunately for James Harden, he was in the passing lane, and the ball drilled him — knocking him to the court.
Ouch. This serves as further proof that The Greek Freak is a destroyer of worlds.

Vince Carter draws huge ovation from Raptors fans in final game in Toronto (Video)

Category : NBA , raptors , Trending Now

Ageless wonder Vince Carter spent his first seven seasons in the NBA with the Raptors, and fans at Scotiabank Arena clearly did not forget about that.
The 42-year-old Hawks forward traveled to Toronto for what could be the final time in his NBA career, and Raptors fans showed plenty of love — giving him a standing ovation when he entered the game for the first time in the first quarter (to which he responded by draining a three-pointer).
This is Carter’s 23rd season in the league, although it’s unclear if it’ll be his last. He appears to be leaning that way, but has yet to make a definitive statement on it. Either way, what a career for VC.
A special ovation for a special player.

Look: James Harden steals Christmas with neon highlighter suit, sparking memes

Category : NBA , Rockets , Trending Now

Rockets superstar James Harden rolled up to the team’s Christmas Day showdown with the Thunder looking like a neon Grinch.
Harden, who is known for his eccentric suits, rocked one of the better ones we’ve seen from him before the game at Toyota Center, and it’s safe to say he lit up the building.
Without futher ado, we present Harden — neon highlighter Grinch edition.

We expect a big game from Harden, given his pregame attire. If you rock a suit like that, you’d better put up 30+ , and Harden likely will.

Travis Kelce gifted Chiefs QBs, TEs Versace robes

Category : Chiefs , Featured , NFL , Trending Now

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has already set career highs in receptions (93), receiving yards (1,220) and touchdowns (10) with two regular-season games left to play, and he recently gave back to some of his teammates that helped him do so.
Kelce bought the Chiefs quarterbacks and tight ends a holiday gift, and he spared no expense in doing so. He bought each of them a Versace robe, and told reporters on Friday “that was probably the best gift I’ve given in a long time.” You can see a photo of what one of the robes looks like below.

There’s a Versace box on the floor in front of Demetrius Harris’ locker. Turns out it’s a gift from Travis Kelce.

Update: he also gave them to the quarterbacks. Chase Litton put his on while we were in there.

The robes retail for $595 apiece, and they appear to be one of the more stylish holiday gifts we’ve seen a player buy for their teammates.

Watch: Luka Doncic blocks LeBron James twice on same play

Category : Featured , Mavericks , NBA , Trending Now

Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic continues to amaze nearly every time he steps foot on the court.
Doncic scored 20 points on an efficient 6-of-11 shooting in Wednesday’s win over the Rockets, and he followed that up with a stunning feat in Friday’s game against the Lakers.
The Mavericks’ young star may be only 19 years old, standing six-feet-seven, but he managed to block LeBron James twice on the same possession during the game. James received a bounce pass and appeared to have an easy layup, but Doncic denied him at the rim. The ball fell in James’ hands, and he went up again. Doncic, however, blocked that shot attempt, too.

It’s hard to imagine that any player in the league — let alone a rookie — could stop James from scoring on that play. Doncic is a special player, though.

Watch: Steelers fans burn Le'Veon Bell jerseys amid contract holdout

Category : NFL , Steelers , Trending Now

Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell never showed up to sign his franchise tender by Tuesday’s deadline, which makes him ineligible to play this season.
It’s been viewed as a polarizing move, as some current and former players are applauding Bell for standing up for himself, and for protecting his body in preparation for a big payday this spring.
But the majority of takes have been negative, from old-school players, analysts, and especially fans. Bell’s holdout can clearly be viewed as selfish — with him putting his needs before the team’s.
As such, Steelers fans have already begun burning his jersey, as you can see below.

There’s virtually no chance Bell will play in a game wearing a Steelers uniform again, so it’s not like fans will need the jersey.

Brawl erupts at Baylor-Iowa State game after superman punch (Video)

Category : NCAA , Trending Now

One of the craziest fights of the entire 2018 college football season broke out during Saturday’s game between Baylor and Iowa State, and it resulted in security guards actually having to rush onto the field to break it up.
It happened in the third quarter, when a shoving match took place at the end of a play, which isn’t anything out of the ordinary. What was, though, was Baylor defensive end Greg Roberts jumping over a ref and throwing a superman punch at Iowa State running back David Montgomery.

Both Roberts and Montgomery were ejected, and we can expect fines to come in the near future.

Watch: Red Sox troll Yankees during champagne clubhouse celebration

Category : Featured , MLB , Red Sox , Trending Now , Yankees

The Red Sox defeated the Dodgers in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday night, and the team made sure to sneak in a troll job at the expense of its division rival.
Boston’s players and coaches were living in the present during the champagne celebration in the clubhouse that followed the 5-1 win, but they were also seen poking fun at the Yankees — the team the Red Sox beat to advance to the World Series.
Plenty of singing and dancing took place in the clubhouse, while champagne bottles were popped. And, at one point, the Red Sox were overheard singing Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” a clear shot at the Bronx Bombers.
The Red Sox are world champions once again, and they made sure to let their AL East rival know about it.

Watch: Manny Machado tried to kick Steve Pearce for cheap shot during game

Category : Dodgers , MLB , Trending Now

Dodgers slugger Manny Machado was blasted when he was seen kicking Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series, but that wasn’t the only controversial moment he was involved in this fall.
Having Machado become involved in controversial moments when he’s running to first base appears to be a thing, because that’s exactly what happened in Game 4 of the World Series on Saturday night.
Machado was attempting to run out a grounder in the ninth inning of the game, with his team trailing the Red Sox 9-6.  He was seen having an unnatural motion as he made his way toward first base, though. Machado’s left foot moved away from the center of the bag, and actually caught Pearce’s heel.

THIS IS NOT OK. the league needs to do something about Machado. pic.twitter.com/jTFR0LzXkh
— megan BREWERS NL CENTRAL CHAMPIONS brown (@thatgirlondeck) October 28, 2018

Not only that, Machado also blew a bubble at Pearce, which almost looked like part of a potential troll job of sorts.

— Barstool Sports (@barstoolsports) October 28, 2018

Luckily, Pearce was OK, and he remained in the game. But Machado is finding himself in too many controversial moments for this extracurricular physical contact to be purely coincidental. Other MLB’ers are already labeling him a “dirty player” as is.
